Today's database environments continue to get bigger and more complex to manage. With growth rates often exceeding 50% or more each year, IT organizations have their hands full when it comes to ensuring system availability and cost containment in the face of such exponential growth. BlueArc Data Migrator software automatically and transparently migrates files (or whole department file shares) from one tier to another when they cross key hard or soft thresholds. Multiple views or instances of the same data can also be automatically synchronized and replicated to other locations.
In addition, to meet audit or compliance requirements, data integrity can be further protected by using BlueArc's write-once, read-only (WORM) files system.
