David Epstein

Epstein is a General Partner at Crosslink Capital, focusing on Semiconductors and Systems. He has been starting, managing and helping high tech companies grow for 25+ years. His experience includes work in the silicon valley venture capital community and advising several early stage companies in Internet, Software, Wireless, Semiconductors, and Computer Systems arenas.
Prior to Crosslink, Dave was Interim CEO for a venture capital portfolio company while doing strategic work for Transmeta Corporation. Before that, Dave was President and CEO of XStream Logic where he helped build an organization and strategy to compete in the network processor arena. He was founding CEO of Raycer Graphics, Vice President of Engineering at NexGen and VP of Engineering at Kendall Square Research. He started his career at Data General as a CPU designer, chronicled in Tracy Kidder's "Soul of a New Machine."
Epstein has a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA with high honors from Boston University. He is named on 13 patents in computer architecture and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Entrepreneurship program and the University of San Francisco, and on the editorial board of Microprocessor Report.
