Chris McBride has spent the last 20 years in various sales and general management roles across a broad spectrum of IT segments. Most recently, he held a senior management role at chip start-up Aarohi Communications in San Jose, where he played a leading role in raising capital, driving design wins and revenue which lead to a successful acquisition by Emulex Corporation.
Prior to Aarohi, McBride spent five years at McDATA where held various leadership roles, including VP of World Wide Sales. While at McDATA he was part of a core team of leaders that helped build a world wide field organization that grew the business from a start-up to almost $500M in revenue over a five year period. Prior to McDATA, McBride was a VP and General Manager of a $700M sales and services organization within CompuCom Systems, a systems integrator that supplied design, deploy and management services for IT infrastructure to enterprise customers in the US. His career began at IBM in 1987, where he made the transition from Marine Biologist to an IBM sales rep. While at IBM, he held various sales, staff and sales management roles. Throughout his career, Chris has focused on unleashing his teams' creativity and potential by using a mixture of mentoring, empowerment and management process.
