BlueArc Wins Diogenes Labs - Storage Magazine
Quality Award for Enterprise NAS Systems

Users Praise Titan Solutions over Industry Competition for Advanced Features, Quality, Reliability and Technical Support in Independent Third Party Survey.

SAN JOSE, CA - June 18, 2007

BlueArc® Corporation, a market leader in scalable, high-performance network storage, today announced that the company's Titan 2000 storage system family won the Diogenes Labs - Storage™ magazine Quality Award Enterprise NAS Survey. This recognition, based on the results of a comprehensive survey among Storage magazine readers, demonstrates that customers value solutions engineered with advanced features, highest quality and reliability, and uncompromising technical support. As the winner, BlueArc will be featured in the cover story of the June 2007 issue of Storage magazine.

"We are honored to see BlueArc recognized as the best enterprise NAS solution provider by Diogenes Labs and Storage magazine. We were especially impressed that our customers selected BlueArc as the best Enterprise NAS vendor in terms of features, quality, reliability, support and sales force competence, against significant marketplace competition," said Steve Daheb, senior vice president, marketing and business development of BlueArc.

The survey, conducted by Diogenes Labs and Storage Magazine, invites end users to rate their satisfaction of their Enterprise NAS partners in five different categories - sales force competence, product features, initial product quality, product reliability and technical support. Vendors receiving enough votes to be included in this year's survey were BlueArc, EMC, Hewlett Packard, Network Appliance, and Sun. BlueArc not only had the highest overall score among these enterprise NAS vendors, but maintained the highest position against all competitors in all five major categories.

"This award further validates the fact that BlueArc's enterprise NAS product line, featuring our unique hardware-accelerated architecture, is a powerful solution that offers customers market leading diversity of performance and modular scalability with real-world benefits," Daheb added. "We are pleased to enable our customers with innovative network storage offerings that can transform the velocity, scale and economics of their business."

BlueArc's Titan 2000 storage system family delivers world-record performance on multiple third party benchmarks, scalability to 512 terabytes in a single namespace, and a leading virtualization framework. Titan's capabilities have enabled customers in a host of vertical markets and the enterprise to complete projects in less time, and with greater quality. In the first half of 2007, BlueArc has continued to deliver updates to the storage system family, expanding clustering capabilities through four nodes with near-linear scalability, adding the Titan 2500 storage system as the flagship model in the company's lineup, featuring integrated 10 gigabit network connectivity, the introduction of dynamic read caching and BlueArc's protocol acceleration module, enabling Windows server consolidation.

About The Diogenes Labs-Storage Magazine Quality Awards

The Diogenes Labs-Storage Magazine Quality Awards are designed to identify and recognize products that have proven their quality in reliability in actual use. The results are derived from a survey of qualified Storage subscribers, who assessed products in five main categories: sales competence, product features, initial quality, reliability and technical support. Their methodology incorporates statistically valid polling that eliminates market share as a factor. Their objective is to identify the most reliable products on the market regardless of vendor name, reputation or size. Products are rated on a scale from 1.0 to 8.0, where 8.0 is the most favorable possible score. For more information about this awards program, visit www.storagemagazine.com.
