Discovery With BlueArc Titan 2200 Storage System
Company anticipates 10x performance improvements over existing
storage infrastructure, eliminating bottlenecks in legal data analysis process.

BlueArc Corporation, the world leader in network storage innovation, announced today that Document Technologies Inc. (DTI), the nation's fastest-growing document outsourcing company, has selected BlueArc's Titan 2200 Storage System, with more than forty terabytes of high performance Fibre Channel storage, to dramatically increase the firm's ability to process, store and access electronic data required for corporate litigation.
DTI offers law firms and corporate legal departments tremendous capacity for de-duplicating and producing electronic files and e-mail through a proprietary discovery process. With anticipated growth in the company's electronic discovery business exceeding 100% for 2006, DTI recognized the need to increase their ability to handle expanded caseload, through deployment of a high performance network storage infrastructure.
As cases are processed and submitted data undergoes analysis, the company's 150 node clustered server farm generates enormous network traffic, with peaks that can significantly increase requirements. The company's existing storage infrastructure was not capable of handling these spikes in demand, resulting in slowdowns through DTI's business - eliminating the option to generate new image files, run quality of control processes, or run backups simultaneously. Storage slowdowns threatened to place a ceiling on the company's throughput if a higher performance solution was not found, along with a significantly increased capacity threshold.
Following a thorough investigation into a number of leading network storage solutions, DTI determined that BlueArc's recently introduced Titan 2200 storage system delivered performance and capacity well above all competition. Additionally, the system included BlueArc's Data Migrator software, which enabled DTI to migrate data from primary storage to nearline storage or archival based on customer-driven policies. BlueArc's Titan 2200 enables DTI to cope with its intense data demands and deliver results to clients more quickly, saving the firm both time and money.
