Quantum|ATL and BlueArc Announce Certification of the Si7500 Storage System for Pegasus Solutions in Fibre Channel Environments
BlueArc's fastest network storage system can now share tape backup resources with multiple application servers in a fully certified and supported SAN environment

Quantum|ATL, a subsidiary of Quantum Corporation (NYSE:DSS) and leader in data protection and recovery systems, today announced BlueArc's Si7500 Storage System is fully certified with Quantum|ATL's Pegasus solution for Fibre Channel environments. The certification addresses the need for seamless integration of network attac hed storage (NAS) devices within Fibre Channel-based storage area networks (SANs).
Following extensive laboratory testing by both companies to assure a fully tested and supported solution, the solution provides customers with the ability to combine the technologies - and benefits - of NAS and SAN. With the Si7500 Storage System and Pegasus library connected to a Fibre Channel switch, organizations can utilize an open platform for sharing tape backup resources between application servers and NAS devices with full-fabric support.
