BlueArc Corporation Certifies Interoperability with Spectra Logic AIT Libraries
Certification Delivers Unprecedented Performance and Space Efficiency for Storage Consolidation

BlueArc Corporation, provider of the world's highest performance enterprise-class network storage systems, announced today the certification of the BlueArc Si7500 Storage System with Spectra Logic's enterprise-class automated tape libraries. Spectra Logic's automated tape libraries include the Spectra 10000, the Spectra 12000 and Spectra 64000 model libraries. BlueArc has been certified with all Spectra Logic libraries, which are equipped with Son y's Advanced Intelligent Tape™ (AIT), thereby giving customers an upgradeable path to new drive technologies as they become available. Together, BlueArc's unprecedented throughput performance and Spectra Logic AIT Libraries allow customers to run high-volume data management operations reliably, securely and at peak performance.

The Spectra 12000 supports a storage capacity of 15.6 terabytes and up to eight tape drives in only 24 inches of rack space, while the high-end Spectra 64000 provides a storage capacity of more than 80 terabytes and up to 32 tape drives in a single rack-mount enclosure.
