BlueArc Announces Certification with StorageTek
BlueArc Enables Interoperability for Customers Like Lawrence Livermore National Labs

BlueArc Corporation, provider of the world's highest performance enterprise-class network storage systems, and StorageTek™ (NYSE:STK), an expert in high-performance, efficient, digitized data storage, today announced that BlueArc's Si7500 Storage System has been certified to support the full spectrum of StorageTek's tape library backup solutions, including its top-end virtual tape library, the StorageTek PowderHorn Series. Together, BlueArc and StorageTek provide customers with centr alized, manageable storage with high availability, seamless scalability and unprecedented performance.
BlueArc and StorageTek jointly tested and cross-certified StorageTek's full range of libraries ranging from 20 to 6,000 tapes to ensure interoperability for joint customers. One joint customer includes Lawrence Livermore National Labs, a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory, and maker of the world's largest 216-node supercomputer.
