ADM300 BlueArc System Administration

Fundamentals of architecture and administration

The core System Administration course provides a thorough education for effective operation of the BlueArc server network storage system. Instruction covers the technology underlying the system, the hardware and software architecture, the virtualization framework, and setup and maintenance of routine operations. The attendee uses the graphical user interface to perform tasks on our lab systems. This course is essential to setting up and operating the BlueArc Titan and Mercury server systems when used on a routine and daily basis.

This course is intended for system administrators within end user customers, channel partners, and BlueArc strategic business partners.

MNT300 BlueArc Installation and Service

Installation, configuration and maintenance authorization

The Installation and Configuration course provides detailed instruction and practice for tasks involved in installation, connection, routine maintenance, removal, and replacement of field and customer replaceable components of the BlueArc Titan and Mercury server systems and storage devices. This course is key to setting up, maintaining, and repairing the BlueArc system.

This course is intended primarily for BlueArc strategic and channel partners who will perform their own system installation and maintenance. It is required for approval to enable authorizing a partner to performance installation, configuration and maintenance in the field. End user customers are welcome to attend the class.

ADM400 BlueArc Advanced System Administration

Advanced design, stability, and performance

The Advanced Administration course provides extended insights into the operational characteristics of the BlueArc Titan and Mercury systems. Attendees learn advanced concepts, and apply them in the class to optimize the performance of the system for their particular applications. They will consider and implement alternative approaches to setting up storage for high-performance, load-balancing, high-availability, and failover conditions. Students will also practice advanced data protection methods.

This course is intended for customers who have had systems installed for a minimum of 6 months and want to optimize the use of their systems. The course is recommended for BlueArc business partners who will be implementing some of the more advanced features and software and want to improve their skills in the design and architecture of systems deployment.

MNT401 BlueArc System Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

Support and service authorization

The Troubleshooting and Diagnostics course provides detailed instruction and lab activities using simulations and procedures necessary to identify and remedy software and hardware issues. Attendees learn to isolate problems in system settings, on the public or private network, in the storage, or on the server. This course is an excellent next-step to ensuring optimal system uptime and performance, and to resolving problems and performance issues with the BlueArc Titan and Mercury server systems.

This course is intended for customers who will perform troubleshooting and diagnostic work on their own systems. This course is also designed for BlueArc strategic business partners and channel partner who required skills growth that allows them to provide L1 support directly to customers with an improved escalation process directly with BlueArc.
